Lipid Peroxidation Level and Peroxidase Activity in (Vitis vinifera L.) Leaves Infected with Grapevine Leafroll-Associated Virus 3

Objective: Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) is one of the major crops widely cultivated for wine industry, as well production fresh and dried fruit in Azerbaijan. leafroll disease (GLD) affects vines throughout world considered most economically destructive among all virus virus-like diseases. Vineyard surveys were conducted to determine infection grapevine growing region Azerbaijan during 2019-2020. Methods/Statistical analysis: Forty-six samples collected from fields screened by rapid one-step assay AgriStrip double-antibody sandwich Enzyme-linked immunosorbent (DASELISA). In our study, levels malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), pigments, relative water content (RWC), alterations activities peroxidase enzymes (the ascorbate (APO), benzidine (BPO) guaiacol (GPO) investigated. Findings: The results revealed that tested infected with leafrollassociated 3 (GLRaV-3), however, no sample was found other leafroll-associated viruses. Changes MDA, H2O2, RWC, studied. Significant reduction green pigments like chlorophylls (a, b total) a gradual carotenoids observed species. Obtained showed level RWC amount had increased leaves. APO, BPO GPO increase virus-infected leaves compared healthy control. Based on results, it can be concluded effect GLRaV-3 more N2 sample. antioxidant defense system works effectively N5 this plant resistant viral infection. Novelty: These indicate only prevalent endemic pathogen dominantly warmhumid continental climate country. All variable physiological parameters are assessed plant’s response pathogen.
